here’s how it all began…

Like many businesses these days, Cait Ede Creative was born out of some serious downtime during the ol' pandemic.

I had been temporarily laid off from my restaurant management job in March 2020 and after a little (okay, an uncomfortable amount) of downtime and reflection, I decided it was time for a change. I took all of my favourite aspects of my restaurant/event management jobs (marketing, social media, meeting new people, and hyping people up), took some courses, and turned them into something I am SO excited to wake up and do every morning.

Since then, I have been helping small business owners define their vision, identify what sets them apart from their competition, and of course, by designing brands and websites that reflect how incredible their business is.

FAQ

  • Squarespace - and I love it! I exclusively use Squarespace, as I love how user-friendly it can be. My clients have the capabilities to make changes to the site in the event something on their site no longer serves them in the future. As a Squarespace Circle member, I can also offer 20% off for my clients first year!

  • No chance - I love designing in different styles. Variety is the spice of life - and I like it spicy!

  • Heck no! As a lover of travel, there are few things (aside from actually travelling) that would make me happier. I’m happy to design for you regardless of where you are located.

  • Yes! All package costs are split into two - 50% will be due during the booking process to hold your project date, and the remaining 50% will be required before I hand over the completed project.

  • Great question! While I haven’t had this happen yet, there’s always a chance! I attribute this success rate to the discovery phase. I’ll send you some “homework” so that you can dive deep and tell me all about what makes you and your business tick. This way, I can make sure that we’re on the same page and you LOVE the final product. However, in the event that you don’t, revision periods are included in all design packages.

  • I do not include Squarespace-related costs in my packages as this can vary depending on client needs.

    Custom fonts and stock photos may also be an additional cost, but will not be added to your invoice without discussion prior to.

  • Not specifically, but all sites I design include basic SEO.
